This is an incredibly comfortable insert. I am typically a size 8 in regular tennis shoes, so I did have to trim the edge for these to fit properly in my shoes. The inserts hugged the shape of my foot perfectly. The only downside to inserts in general, not even this particular style or brand, is that it makes your shoes significantly tighter and you naturally sit higher in the shoe as a result. However, it's a sacrifice that is worth taking for the level of comfort and support you get from these inserts. I've had the fancier kind that you stand on machine to get the exact type of insert you need (they are pretty expensive too as a result) and these definitely rival those at a fraction of the price.

I ordered these shoe insoles for my size 6.5 women's feet in hopes of finding relief for minor heel pain, probably plantar fasciitis, on my left foot, and also for overall foot cushioning and comfort. I like to have insoles in all of my shoes because I do not like the inconvenience of moving the same insoles from shoe to shoe, and I'm always on the lookout for something that works. So far, these seem great. They have good heel cushioning and nice arch support. I ordered the size 6 to 6.5 and they fit perfectly without trimming. I took out the insole that originally came with the shoe. Although this insole would work on top of the original insole, it made the shoe fit a little too tight for my liking. I've never had an insole quite like this one. The back half of it, under the heel and arch, is FIRM - meaning it doesn't bend. It's padded for cushion, but it's not flexible. The front part under your ball and toes is plenty flexible like a normal insole. And the heel is solidly elevated by about a quarter inch. So factor this in when considering what shoes you'll be wearing these in, as you have to have enough lace expansion to fit these in there with your foot! Sneakers and hikers shouldn't be an issue, but dress shoes or slip-ons may cause fitment issues. The actual cushioning seems to be a dense foam, with the gel-type stuff under your heels and balls of your toes. I'm looking forward to my next outing with these as they definitely provide better support for my high arches and feel good inside the shoes. Mine are size men’s 11-11/5 and measure 11.5 inches long. Recommended!
