I am evaluating these walking shoes based on my specific foot problem – arthritis in both feet toe joints, especially the big toe joint on both feet. After seeing a podiatrist, he recommended a walking shoe that prevents the toe box from flexing. After trying several varieties at a local running store, I purchased a walking shoe for about $200 – first time I ever spent such for a pair of sneakers. So, I would like a second pair, hopefully less expensive, that I could use around the house. It is painful to walk around in slippers. I found these walking shoes for less than half of what I paid for the podiatrist recommended shoes. Will they do the job. My feet measure 11.5. The podiatrist recommended getting a size 12 where the shoes have a wide toe box. I received a size 12. Well, I have to say that these walking shoes are doing the job for me keeping my toe joints from flexing. I see that other reviewers have commented about arch support. I do not have a problem with arch support but certainly these shoes seem robust in their construction. Who knows, if I had found these shoes before I spent $200 on a name brand, I might have ended up with these instead.

My husband and I both love the look of these great Walk Hero arch support sneakers. The shoes are made really well, and the support is noticeable. He is 75 and still loves to walk a lot, but feels that many shoes are not the best for his feet. We saw these, discussed them, and are both very pleased. Plus, they are not only a great arch support sneaker, but a very attractive shoe.

The material is a combo of mesh, rubber, and a faux suede look….with an added shiny plastic trim around the back and sides right above the sole. And still lightweight..and the size was a perfect fit. We chose the black shoe with silver trim. Really nice, including the silver laces. Awesome!

He will be walking in these tomorrow, after taking them out for short test walk this evening, and is very happy with these shoes.
